Many people talk about the importance of having a “back end” to your business, and that’s where the real money is made. But yet, how many people actually implement a back end into their own business?

Over the last few months, I’ve been preparing and implementing my very own back end process for my business. The first time I went through the process I was shocked to realize how much money I was leaving on the table! It totally convinced me that creating the back end was the most important long term activity for me to engage in. So, I’ve made it my focus for the first half of 2011.

In today’s video, I talk about the the actual process I have gone through for creating the back end of my own business. Once you go through the same process, I am sure your eyes will be opened to the wonderful potential that a business back end can have.

Don’t forget to leave your comment below… you know how much I like them!

Hi and welcome to another video. Of course my name is Gideon Shalwick and inside this video I want to talk about 2 main things. The first thing is I want to announce the winner for this little IPod Nano. There’s one lucky person who won it because they left a lovely comment on my blog. I’ll announce towards the end of this video who was the lucky winner.

The other thing that I want to talk about is something that I’ve been working on for the last 3 months. I’ve been developing the Back End of my business. Now there are 2 sides to your business. There’s the Front End and there’s the Back End and you need both to be successful.

The Front End is really where you focus on generating traffic, generating more leads and maybe having one product, one entry little product. But then your Back End is where you have all your other products and that’s where you make most of your money.

So I’m in the process now of setting up the full Back End. I’m currently at Phase I of 3 Phases. And I want to share with you the steps that I’m going through to achieve that. I want to talk about the kind of things you can expect for your own business if you build on your own Back End.

Basically, you don’t need much traffic to be able to make a significant portion of income. And the bottom line here is to automate the whole process so that you can have passive income coming into your bank account month after month.

So I will switch over to my computer screen now and draw some pretty pictures for you to show how I’m doing it in the plan or process that I’m going through for setting all these up.

I hope you enjoy this and remember to leave a comment below this video if you’ve liked what you’ve seen. And join in the discussion. Maybe, add your ideas and add to the knowledge of this whole process.

Talk to you soon.

Ok so next up, I want to give you a quick overview of the process that I use for setting up the Back End of my business. There are five stages in this process and I will go through each one of them briefly, just so that you have an idea of a similar process you can create for yourself.

The first step, the first part of the process is to become very clear on your goals for what you want to achieve with this exercise. And for this I recommend you think about these particular goals: how much money you want to make from this? And from that you can figure out, how many sales you need to make of your product to be able to achieve that? And from sales, you can be even more advanced and figure, how many optins you need for your email newsletter to be able to get those number of sales? And from that, you can figure out how much traffic you want to get. Now this becomes the backbone of the rest of the process that drives everything else in terms of setting up your Back End. But that’s the first thing; become very clear on that because that will drive everything else.

The second thing you need to do is to create a funnel, a business funnel for your Back End. And basically, it simply looks like something like this where you have the World and maybe your Market—to be a little bit more specific than just the World—all the potential people who could come into your business and you have this funnel where you try and drive people through your funnel further and further as time goes by.

And over here you might have some free stuff that you’re giving away to attract people into your business. As soon as they get into your business, you might offer them a $97 product; and further down you might have a $247 product; maybe a $997 product; maybe a $5,000 product; and maybe a $15,000 product. This is just an example of a typical type of funnel that you can set up for your business. But I really encourage you to draw something out like this and make it visual so that you can be very clear on how the funnel works for your business.

The next stage in the process—No. 3 is to create a process or shall I say a flow chart of this funnel and how you want to implement it in your business. And all this really looks like is something like this where you have a starting point, you have these decision points, and you might have an ending point here, and you might have another decision point over here and another thing here.

Basically, I don’t want to go into too much detail here. Otherwise this video will get very long. But this could be, for example, your entry point into your business where you have the free stuff. This might be a $97 offer; and this might be your $247 offer—something like that—and maybe end it there. And you can be very creative with this process.

But the idea is that you become very clear on the kind of process that you want for your funnel. You know, how do you want to implement your funnel using this process?

And perhaps I can create another video at some other stage where it goes into more details with this process because this gets a little bit advanced. But the idea is that once you have this process figured out, you can look at different conversion rates in your business. Say for example, 1% of people here who optin for your free report or free stuff, they go for your $97 product. And maybe, say 10% of those people, go for your upsell over here.

Now once you have numbers here, say, if you know the numbers of traffic, you know the numbers of people opting in—you know, you can figure out how many one-time offer sales you’ll get. And you can figure out how many of these sales you can get if you work using this sort of percentages. And it’s very valuable once you have a chart like this to figure out the profitability of your business once you have this set up and running. And the beauty of this is that it’s automated. Once you have a process like this set-up, it’s all automatic and you can get that money coming in in a very passive sense.

Now I will just wipe this page because Stage 4 is—let me just go back to black again. The fourth stage is to create what I call a Web Representation. I will just write Web Rep there of your process. And you know, this will be just basically all the different pages that you need to create to be able to implement that process and you might have something like this. And this is really just actually physically drawn out all these different pages to represent that process that you designed.

So this here might be your Free Report that you’re giving away. And then they optin for that. They go to this next page. They confirm the email address. They get sent an email maybe. You know, you just draw that all out. Once they get the email, they get sent to the Free Report page with the One-Time Offer, for example. However you want to implement this.

But the idea is that you become very clear on each specific page that you need inside your website and so as the Back End to be able to implement this. And I’m using a technology called FusionHQ to help me do this, to set up the sales process. FusionHQ. I might have a link for it below this video. They mostly close because they are very cautious with how many people they accept so that they can make sure they look after their customers really well.

But that’s the fourth stage. You really draw out the whole process each and every single page and how it all would work together once it’s all set up. And you do this after you’ve created that process diagram in Step 3.

Then Step 5 is basically to create a Task List to implement this whole thing. And so the idea here is that you create a bunch of tasks so that you can implement all of this stuff here and at the end of it have the whole Back End set up.

And what I recommend you do here is brainstorm all these tasks, write them all out and once you’re done with it, prioritize them. Prioritize. And what’s cool about doing something like this, running out all the tasks, having a map of the whole thing, and having a process like I did in Step 3, you can then get other people involved to help you implement the Back End. And that’s in fact, what I’ve done and you know implementing it as—I’m recording this at this stage.

But I wanted to share this process with you. So let’s just quickly go over that again.

Step 1 is to become very clear in your goals for what you want to achieve. Start with how much money you want to make and then work backwards and try to figure out how much traffic you want.

Step 2 is to create your funnel of how you want your business funnel to look.

Step 3 is to create the Flow Chart of how that will be implemented. And it’s just a really nice way to visually represent the flow of information.

Step 4 is a step closer to implementation which is the Web Representation where you just draw out each and every single page that will be used to implement the process.

And Step 5, of course, is to create your Task List.

And once you have that, you’ve got a really, really nice blueprint for setting up your own Back End. Now this is a really, really quick video. And because this is on YouTube, I don’t want to go into much detail. But if you like this kind of stuff, let me know and if you got any questions, let me know by leaving a comment below. I would love to hear from you and I may create a longer, more detailed video about this whole process so that you get a much better idea of implementing this yourself too.

Ok, so what did you think? I hope you enjoyed that and I hope you can see the value in creating your own Back End process for your own business. It’s extremely valuable so that all the big gurus talk about—you need to have your Back End set up for your business. That’s where most of your money is for your business. If you don’t have a back end yet you’re leaving a lot of money on the table.

Ok now to the winner. Well, if you want to find out who won this little IPod Nano, it will be in an annotation on this video right here. Ok so annotation right here of who won this and I’ll get in touch with you either through email or Facebook so that we can grab your contact details.

Also on my blog, if you want to see who the winner is, it will be at GideonShalwick.com under the post where this video is or below this video also maybe in the description area on YouTube if you’re watching this on YouTube. Please remember to subscribe to my YouTube channel. The subscription link will be just here once again. Click on that and subscribe to my YouTube channel so that you can automatically get updated for my videos.

Thanks again for watching. I look forward to creating some really awesome videos. And by the way, I’ve just moved into a new house. So the background you see here is all new and there’s a lot more space here. The previous house we had was very small, very tight. So I’m looking forward to creating some great videos for you in the future. Remember to leave your comment as well. I would love to hear from you. Talk to you soon.

We’re all human. And we all make mistakes.

But one great lesson I learned early on, was that it’s much better to learn from other people’s mistakes. Before that though, I made some really BIG mistakes that has been very costly.

Inside today’s video I talk about a very common, yet very subtle mistake, I made with my very first product online. It would have been great if I knew about this subtle change in thinking BEFORE I created my product. But at least I did manage to learn my lesson. You’ll see what I mean inside the video.

I’m Giving Away A 16GB Apple iPod Nano!

As you watch the video, towards the start, you will see me talking about how you can win a 16GB Apple iPod Nano. And it’s really simple to enter to go into the draw to win. All you have to do, is follow these three easy steps:

Welcome! My name is Gideon Shalwick and depending on how you got to this video, you might be wondering about the strange title of this video, I’m Sorry. I Made A Big Mistake.

Well, I did make a big mistake quiet sometime ago when I launched my first product ever. And I will share with you inside this video—this big blunder, this embarrassing story, so that you won’t have to go through the same pain and frustration.
Before I share this big blunder with you though, I want to talk about this little device that I have in my hand. It’s an IPod Nano that you can get for free. I’m running a little competition that will allow you to win this little IPod Nano. It’s 16Gb hard drive IPod Nano touch screen—so one of the latest ones that you can win.

Now, I want to give you some instructions for how you can enter. Obviously, I love interaction from you. When you leave a comment on my blog, I just love it. So I’m using this as a way to get you to interact because I know when you interact, when you take the action to leave a comment, you actually learn better. You know, there’s no better way to learn but through action.

So I want you to leave a comment. But I want you to leave an interesting comment. Inside this video I will leave some clues. It will be 3 words—3 special words that I’ll have throughout the whole video. Either I’ll flash it on the screen, or mention it, or probably flash it on the screen. And I want you to watch out for these 3 words that will make up a phrase that you then have to add inside your comment.

Now I want you to add it in a clever way. So leave a comment that adds value but include this phrase inside your comment that I’ll be revealing throughout this video. I hope that’s simple enough. Ok.

So there’s one more piece of the puzzle for you to be able to enter into the draw to win this IPod Nano. I will reveal it to you at the end of this video. So keep watching because, you know, it will be pretty easy to win this. The chance of winning is pretty high because as I’ve said I don’t get all that many comments on my videos and so that increases your chance of winning.

So let me share with you this big blunder that I made when I launched my first product. It was a book called Millionaire Drop-Out Secrets. It was an eBook. It took me about 21 days to write this book. It was just sweat and tears, you know, hardwork. But it was a 24/7 job so it was a really intense effort. I got it out in our launch. I got some sales initially.

But as I was trying to make these things successful, I realized there was something really big wrong with it—something really big that I made a mistake with. And the mistake that I made was that when I created the product and the marketing materials for this product, I assumed that I knew what my audience needed. Now, that might not sound like a big blunder. But trust me, it’s actually quiet a big mistake. It’s extremely subtle but it’s the same mistake that so many people make. And that’s why there are so many products and businesses that are not successful.

The difference here is that instead of looking at what people need and thinking that you know what they need, you really need to figure out what it is that they truly want. And you know, knowing what people truly want—that’s based on what people actually say they want, is very different to what you think that people need. Those are two vastly different things. And if you don’t know the difference or if you create a product based on what you think people need, you could end up getting it totally wrong which is what I did for my first product. And I don’t want you to repeat that.

So how do you figure out what people truly want? And you know, why is it so important that you create something that people want?

Well, the main reason is that people buy stuff that they want. It’s just the fact. And people don’t always buy things that they need. So you need to think about what it is that people truly want. And the way to do that is to, guess what?—to ask.

You simply ask people what they want. And sure, I know, you might be thinking, “sure Gideon it’s easy you’ve got an audience, you’ve got a following already that you can simply just send an email out to and ask them. And it’s so easy for you.” But you know, at the beginning, for me, I had to find other ways of asking people what they wanted.

So there are many other different ways that you can find out. For example, you could use someone else’s audience and ask them what they want. If you have friends in Twitter or Facebook, ask them if you can run a survey on to their audience and give them something in return. You know, create some sort of incentive.

Go to forums on the internet and hang-out in the places where people complain about specific issues in your niche. Those are really cool ways of indirectly finding out what people truly want.

Another way of doing this is to interview typical people in your niche that are either of that you can call or contact with online or that you can speak to in your close immediate area. And they may be a little bit harder to find—you know, not as many of them—but having these conversations with these people would really open up your eyes to what people truly want as oppose to what you think they need—big distinction.

So there are many, many different ways that you can find what people truly want. And you know, one of the best ways that I found is if you can build up an audience or if you can borrow someone else’s audience to run a survey. And inside this survey, you ask them maybe 5 questions that relate to what you’re trying to achieve with your product. But the main question really is to ask people their main problem, pain or frustration.

Ask them what is you number one pain, problem, or frustration that you have with ABC?—whatever the product or services that you’re offering. And that one answer will really get people thinking about, you know, the true problems that they have. And from that you can figure out very clearly what it is that they truly want. Because when people complain about their pains and frustrations, it gives you a very clear idea of what they truly want. And that’s just a golden nugget of information their.

And along with the survey, you can also ask people about you know how much are they willing to pay? For this, you know, if you were able to provide a solution for them for this big pain or frustration that they have—and a bunch of other questions.

So I limited to about 5. You know sometimes I just do the one question—maybe 2 or 3. It really depends on the audience.
But the bottom line here is that you need to ask people and you need to get to the bottom of what they truly want. Once you know what people want, you can create a solution for them. And not only can you create a solution in terms of a really great product but when you create your marketing materials—when you will sell the product, eventually, you’ll be able to target that information so much better because you’ll be pressing the heart buttons of people because you know already what they want. So it’s not only the product but also the marketing material when you get into the launch of your product.

So I really hope that was useful for you. Now, you may have seen a bunch of emails around in the bloggersphere or on the cyberspace, I mean, where every man and his dog is promoting Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula. Now, I’m also promoting it. And the reason I’m promoting it is because it’s one of the key courses that I’ve done in my life online that has helped me to get massive success online. Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula course is launching in about a week’s time and as I believed, I don’t think he will keep doors open for very long. He just opens that for a very short period of time every year. And I truly believe that if you’re ready for something like this that this is a great course that you need to go on.

Now, there’s a link below this video that takes you to a free video that Jeff has on some of the biggest mistakes that he has made and some other people have made in launching their own products. And I’m a strong believer in learning from other people’s mistakes.

And so inside this video that Jeff has on his site, you can learn about those mistakes. So please click on the link below. There’s an optin required. If you haven’t optin in their yet, that will take you to the video page where you can watch the content.

Now at the moment there’s nothing for sale—at the time of the recording of this video, there’s nothing for sale there and you can just watch and absorb all the free content that Jeff has there. I really encourage you to check it out. Even if you’re not interested on the course itself, just check out all the free information. There’s a bunch of really cool ideas there that will help you in making your business successful.

Now, let’s get back to this thing. I mean, before I tell you about this, I just really hope that you found this video really useful and you know that you can figure out what it is that people truly want when you get ready for your own product launch.

Just how to get access or how can you enter into the draw for this, again, you got to leave a comment. And throughout this video, I would have revealed 3 words that will form a phrase that you need to use inside your comment. Now I would like you to also optin for the video, then leave a comment and that will put you into the draw for this little IPod Nano. The deadline for this is this Friday which is February 25, 2011. So please make sure you leave a comment before then if you want to enter into the draw to win this little IPod Nano. And inside my next video, or in an email, or whatever, I’ll announce the winner and send it out to them.

Thank you so much for watching. I hope you’ve enjoyed this. And please make sure to comment and I look forward to seeing you inside the next video. Talk to you soon.

Hi!

A few weeks ago, you might have heard or seen me fleeing outside the country because of the floods here in Brisbane. I had to go over to New Zealand because the Brisbane River came down with a fury that we haven’t seen for about a century or so. So I got a little bit scared because we live close to the river here in CBD of Brisbane City and I decided to bail and go to New Zealand where my family was visiting.

While I was there though, I came through quiet a few interesting conclusions. When I was at the airport, I saw the magazine stand. And that was just fascinating looking at the topics of magazines that were there-the mainstream type of topics.

And also while I was traveling, I got a copy of this book, The Longer Long Tail by Chris Anderson. It’s a revise version. The first version was The Long Tail. So this was the revise version of the original one. Amazing, amazing book if you’re operating online.

And by looking at those magazine stands at the airport and combining it with some of the ideas that I learned about inside this book, I got some very key ‘aha’ moments specifically related to how to find the best possible niche or topic to blog about or video blog about for your video blog or blog.

What I want to do next is go to my computer and show you on the screen how all these works and how all these ideas are coming together to help you get the best possible niche or best possible topic for you to blog about. So I’ll head over there now. And I’ll talk to you when I’m on the screen.

You’re probably wondering, what on earth is a Long Tail? Now Chris Anderson is talking about it in this sort of context. If you can imagine a graph looking something like this where you’ve got a horizontal axis and a vertical axis—alright. And you can draw a distribution or a graph looking something like this.

Now this represents the distribution of anything like products or topics. For example the magazines that you saw in the magazine store that I saw at the airport. It would have a distribution something like this. And you’d have something like this, where you’d have on this side of this line. You’d have what or-Chris’ doesn’t actually label this—but this is your mainstream kind of topics-mainstream. And over here is what you call the Long Tail—for obvious reasons. The Long Tail-OK, because it has this massive long tail.

And basically, what you’re saying is that these mainstream type of topics, this is what physical stores are able to store on their shelves that I simply just don’t have the space to store all different topics. Say for example, the magazine industry. They can’t store all the different magazines. They can only store certain type. And that’s why they pick the mainstream because they’ll be the most profitable.

Now because we have the internet now-this thing called the Long Tail, where there’s essentially no limit to the number of different kind of topics that you could have in any kind of field; for example, the magazine one. You know, you can have an infinite number of topics-infinite number of niches for magazines when it’s online.

So what Chris figured out, or what he’d identified at least, was that this Long Tail-the traffic, or the business or the volume that you can get in this Long Tail—can sometimes be equivalent or close to equivalent to what you might get here in the mainstream.

Now this is very, very significant because if you’re a blogger or a video blogger-depending on which niche you will be targeting or which topic-the strategies that you will be following to dominate that niche or topic will be very, very different depending on whether they’re on the mainstream or on the Long Tail. So let’s look at that in a little bit more detail.

Say for example, your main topic that you’re targeting is in the mainstream and it happens to be one of the main mega niches, called, say for example-you know-like the Health. Let’s say you’ve targeted the Health niche. Mega niches things like money, health, relationship-those three-and a bunch of others. The kind of topics you would see on the magazine stand. Those are the sort of mega niches.

What you can do is you can actually zoom in on this. The Health niche will have its own distribution. If you zoom in on just the Health niche now, you would see a similar distribution for just the Health niche. It will have its own little Long Tail over there. The strategy that I think you need to follow, for this kind of thing-if you want to be ranking for post in search engines and if you really want to be dominating-is to target keyword phrases in the Long Tail. So this is your area of focus. So let’s just get this so that you know this is what I’m talking about. So this is zoomed into the Health niche.

So if you’re doing something like that, if it’s a mega niche, if it’s one of the mainstream topics that you’ve targeted, you’ll have a much easier time to try and rank for these Long Tail type of phrases. And the reason is because the phrases in here, in the Short Tail of the mainstream for this mainstream topic, will be extremely competitive. It will be very hard to rank for those. So to be able to get noticed on the internet, your strategy would be to focus on these ones here.

OK. So that’s for mainstream topics. Now what if you selected a topic in the Long Tail? Say for example, something like Dog Breeding or something like that. Once again, if you zoom in on this niche topic or this Long Tail topic, you’ll see that it also has its own different distribution-its own Long Tail distribution. Of course, the traffic that you will get from this one compared to this one over here will be much smaller. But this is why your strategy needs to be different.

So you will also have a Long Tail here but then also your more popular terms for this topic. Now what I think for this Long Tail kind of topics, your focus needs to be over on this side. And the reason for that is because the traffic you’ll be getting over here, from this Long Tail, the Long Tail traffic on this-already existing Long Tail-will be very small. And it may not be even worth trying to get the traffic from these different sources here.

So you’ve got to be better on trying to focus more on this more Short Tail kind of terms for this kind of niche. Let’s just draw a little picture here. I mean a little arrow to make sure you understand.

So this is—for example Dog Breeding. The Dog Breeding niche which may not be one of the mega topics and this one over here might be the Health niche. So I hope you can see the difference in approach here to help you kind of get success depending on which topic you’re selecting to either blog or video blog about. So let’s just go over that again.

This is where you have your focus for these more obscure ones. So for the mainstream type of topics- if you have one of the mainstreams or mega niches, you can target the Long Tail keyword phrases in that niche or in that topic. You will rank easier for them and over time you will be able to build up a similar kind of traffic as you might get for those the Short Tail traffic.

If your topic is not a mainstream type of topic, in other words, if it’s not the topic that you can see on the magazine stands of local bookstores, then your strategy will be different. Then you target these more popular keywords because it will be easier for you to rank for those keyword phrases.

This is what I think. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts. You know I haven’t fully tested this. This is just a brainwave that I got and I would love to hear your thoughts on it and tell me what you think. Let me give you an example here just to make this crystal clear.

So for the Health industry, someone might have a very niche blog, say for example, How to Get Rid of Pimples with Organic Methods. So that’s kind of very focus. So it’s really targeting this smaller Long Tail type of keywords with less topics. And the Dog Breeding, the difference here would be targeting keywords like Dog Breeding, for example.

I hope you can see that. This is more of a Short Tail kind of keywords and you might focus on something like that you know Get Rid of Pimples with Organic Methods. So it’s a much more long tail type of keyword that will be getting this kind of traffic here.

So I hope it makes sense to you. Leave me a question if anything doesn’t make sense. I’m still developing this idea. But I would like to hear from you what you think about this. And I might do a few more videos on this a little bit later on. So let me know what you think.

OK so what do you think of that? I hope that was interesting to you. I hope that was helpful to you and useful that you can use it for your own business immediately right now. That’s what I like to do with these videos. I wanted to create information for you that is immediately useful in your business. So if you have a niche already or a topic, think about in terms of you know those mainstream topics and these Long Tail topics. How does that affect you right now if you’re new in this business? What can you do to make sure you pick the best one and follow the best possible strategy?

So tell me what you think? I would love to hear your thoughts. Please leave your comment below this video.
Sometimes you get to a point where you simply have to “not work”. Well, actually, I’ve been known to say that I don’t really work in any case, and that it’s more like “play” to me!

Even so though, sometimes it’s necessary to take somewhat of a break to help “recharge the batteries”.

But, it does not mean you have to stop earning some nice money while doing it! And inside today’s video, I reveal how you can achieve such a marvelous thing

It’s been a very, very busy year. In fact, it’s been a very, very busy 4 years and I’ve got to ask you the question. Do you think it’s possible to just work, work, work very, very hard all the time and still be successful?

I think with any kind of success comes sacrifices and you need to make some sacrifices to be able to enjoy success. For example, sometimes you need to put on a bit of extra effort compared to other people and miss out on some other things.

I remember the days when I used to do athletics and you know I couldn’t go out partying with my mates. I had to go to bed early so that I could perform the next day so that I could do really well. And I had to train really, really hard. I think it’s the same in business.

But at the same time, you also need what’s called “rest”. Ok, no rocket science there. But basically the way I look at business at any source of successful business is that there are 4 different stages—4.

The first one is where you sow. This is where you sow the seeds of your business.

The second stage is where you nurture that little seed to make it grow. So you can look at your business as a plant, basically. You can compare it to a plant. You sow the seed, you nurture it.

The third stage is where once you’ve nurtured it long enough, it’s really to reap the harvest. And you’ve done a good job with the sowing and nurturing, your reaping stage would be very, very successful and that’s where you make your money.

The fourth stage is a stage that a lot of people skip. They go straight back to sowing again or they just keep on trying to reap and then they don’t go through the cycle properly.

And the fourth stage is the rest stage. I think it is a very critical stage for your business for anything you do really, whether it’s farming—farming the land or running a business. Whatever you do in life, there are these 4 stages: sowing, nurturing, reaping, and resting. Sowing, nurturing, reaping, and resting-going back through that cycle over and over again. And basically, you can’t skip the rest stage unless you want to burn out.

So I’m really now at the stage where I’ve been sowing a lot, I’ve been nurturing a lot and recently, I’ve been reaping a lot as well. I’m reaping the rewards of my hard work over the last 4 years.

And now the fourth stage for me is really the resting stage. Now, you could be asking yourself-huh, rest? How can you still make money while you rest? Well, just by resting, it doesn’t mean that you have to stop working or that you have to neglect your business. There are some things you can do during your rest phase to still make a really decent income and to, in fact, make even more.

A good friend of mine, Yaro Starak, he’s really a good example of that where he travelled for 6 months in a year. He said he made more money during that travelling stage-“holiday” stage than he did before that. So that’s an example of how you can make more money during a rest phase.

So a couple of things here that I want to mention that, I think, are really too good things that you can do during the rest phase of your business.

The first one is simplification. Whenever you run a new business or start a new project, inevitably, it becomes more messy, more disorganized. And you know that’s because of the law of entropy. You might have heard of that from the Physics world. It basically states that everything moves to a state of more disorganization. And it’s no different for your business. It’s no different for anything else in life for that matter. I mean your bedroom is a good example. It seems like it just gets messy all by itself and if I don’t take action and clean it, it’s not getting any better. So that’s the point. You need to make sure that you fight this law of entropy in your business as well because things just naturally become messier.

In my business for example now, I’ve run a lot of projects- I’ve got a lot of products. The next stage now for me is to simplify what I’ve got and to get rid of all the loose ends. Make sure that the business flows smoothly and then I remove distractions so that I can focus on the right things. So that’s the first thing that I think is a really good thing to do when you are in the resting phase.

And the second thing, which I think is equally important during the resting phase, is to optimize what you currently have. So with simplification, you look at ways to simplify your life and your business and to find those low hanging fruit that you need to focus on. And optimization is really-look at those low hanging fruit and really optimize it. So you try and get the most out of what you already have.

And these ties back into being able to make even more money during your rest phase. Because often during a launch, during a new product or during a new project, you kind of forget to optimize and you leave a lot of money on the table and so during the rest phase, that’s a fantastic stage to go back to your projects, to your launches, to your products—whatever you have and to optimize what you currently have. I think those are two really key things that you can do during the rest phase.

It’s not often that you get the opportunity to ask someone who makes a lot of money online, how exactly they do it. Well today Yaro (my business partner) and I had the chance to catch up with Adam Short from Niche Profit Classroom, to ask him how he seems to make money online *effortlessly*.

Below is the recording Yaro and I did with Adam over a live webinar presentation. I recommend you take some time out of your day to watch the whole presentation, because towards the end, all three of us make some startling announcements that you definitely don’t want to miss out on!

The $1 trial and special offer we talk about inside the webinar expires Friday, July 2 at midnight EST. So make sure you take advantage of it before it’s too late. Here’s the link where you can get access:

$1 Trial And Special Offer

Niche Profit Classroom is one of the most powerful courses online to help you set up your own money making websites. Adam said that he’s been doing niche profit websites now for the last 5 years, so it’s not like it’s going out of fashion… And I guess you’ll see what I mean once you’ve watched the webinar. I found myself even taking notes throughout the call… so there are some nice GEMS in there.
