Hi there! Welcome to another video.

Inside this video, I want to talk about the importance of creating your very own products when you run your own online business. In fact, for any business, it’s absolutely critical that you have your own products.

Before I get into this video though, I just want to quickly mention that I have something really exciting to give away to you for free. You will have to earn it though. Not with money but with just- you know—giving me something in return and I’ll tell you what it is and it will be-you know-pretty powerful thing that I want to give you towards the end of this video.

But before I tell you about that, let’s get into why it’s so important to have your own products?

OK. If you’ve been operating online for awhile, you’ll know the importance of 3 things. Three things that just-you know- you can’t get passed it if you want to be successful online, you need these 3 things.

First of all, you need highly qualified traffic to your site. That’s the beginning point. If you don’t have traffic, then you’re pretty much lost.

Secondly, you need to be able to build your own email list or following or tribe. However you want to call it or label it, you need to develop your own following so that you can keep on getting back in touch with those people who come and visit your site. So that’s the second thing.

And the third thing is—all important products. Now you don’t actually need your own products to be successful online. But once you have your own products, your success just skyrockets. It’s not even funny. When I start creating my own products, they certainly would happen for me and my progress just went through the roof.

So there are more than a couple of benefits. There are 2 types of benefits you can expect or that exists for having your own products—the expected benefits that you’ll probably guess. But then the unexpected benefits that you might not know about that kind of became real to me as I had my own products, as I created my own products.

So firstly, the expected benefits of having your own products. Obviously, having your own products gives you tremendous leverage. Now if you have your own products, you can promote them yourself. You can make so much more money.

When you create your own products, because you’re following the people on your email list, on your Facebook or Twitter or wherever they’re following you, they know and trust you. And so when you release your own product, the conversion rates for the promotion of that product is just so much higher compared to any other kind of promotion that you will be doing. So you have that tremendous leverage when you have your own products because of the increased conversion rates.

Of course because of that, you will make a lot of money. You know, it’s just as simple as that. If your conversion rates are higher and you’ve got a nice high-tech item, high-priced item, you will just make more money. Even if you have lower priced items, when you promote them well, you will make more money.

It also gives you more credibility. So this is kind of obvious though. When you have your own product and other people visit your website or they see you from somewhere, if you speak on stage- whatever—when you have your own product, you’re immediately seen as some kind of an expert. It’s almost like being an author. If you’ve written a book, people immediately assume that you’re the expert. So it gives you that expert status. And I guess those two things go together—having credibility and being seen as the expert.

Now there are some unexpected benefits as well that you might not have thought about.

Firstly, when you are promoting other people’s products, if you can offer your own products as a high value bonus alongside these affiliate promotions-your conversion rates, once again, skyrocket. Now I’ve done his now on a number of occasions where I’ve been able to get into the top ten or even top five lists of the JV partners, the affiliate partners, the promotion partners for these big promotions where I made many, many thousands of dollars.

Just recently to give you an example-not to impress you but rather to impress upon you the importance of having your own products. I did a promotion for-you know-end of last year and I sold within a couple of weeks around a hundred thousand dollar worth of product. Ok that was the revenue that was made as a result of that promotion for the traffic that I sent to that promotion. Of course-you know- I don’t get all of that money. There’s only getting affiliate commission on that. And then of course there are refunds as well. So you know I don’t –it’s not a hundred thousand dollars that comes to me.

But I was able to pull in a hundred thousand-worth of sales because I offered my own product as a bonus. So instead of people buying other promoters’ products, they decided to come to me and get accessed to my bonus-so very, very important. When you have your own product and you offered as an extra bonus to your affiliate promotions, your conversion rates go through the roof. It’s not even funny. So that’s an absolutely great benefit that you might not have known about.

The second unexpected benefit is that having your own product opens up multiple doors to other great opportunities. Just in the last few months, I’ve been getting so many different offers from people to do webinars with me because I now have a high-tech item, a high tech product. People now want to do webinars with me to-you know-promote it to their audience and then I get a commission on that. So if I didn’t have that product, they won’t be able to do it.

Ok. And I’ve been also getting these invitations from all over the world to come and speak at events. Now once again-you know-I’ve got a product. I’m seen as credible, an expert. And now, when I start speaking on stage, that will elevate that even more. And what’s even better with these webinars and with public speaking events, I can sell my own product. And of course the conversion rates keep on increasing, increasing, and increasing. So I hope you can see the benefit of having your own product.

But you know, it’s no good having your own products and you don’t know how to launch them properly. If you go through the right kind of launch process, you can basically set up a very successful, sustainable business within a very short period of time.

I’ve done that now on more than one occasion where I’ve been able to set up a new business through what’s known as the Product Launch. And you know in a few weeks time, I want to run a webinar where I want to explain to you, exactly from my point of view, how I launch my own products and how I’m able to set up new businesses within 3-6 months using this launch method—this launch secrets.

Now there’s Jeff Walker’s Product Launch Formula out there which is amazing. But I want to give you my view on it because I do it my way using video, in particular. And this will happen in a few weeks time using your own product launch. You can build masses of traffic very quickly, can build your list very quickly as well and you know get those sales coming in really, really quickly. And I want to share with you how I do it.

But before I want to do that, I want to ask you for a favor and this is now related to what I said at the beginning of this video, where you’ll get accessed to something really cool if you help me out. I want to find out from you what is your number one frustration or pain for launching your own products or services. What is that number one thing?

If you tell me what that is by leaving a comment below this video, I will give you access to an exclusive interview that I had with Greg Jacobs who lives in Thailand at the moment-you know- 7-figure internet marketer. He makes a lot of money. He said some very successful launches in the past. And he interviewed me on online video and how to use online video to grow your business.

So it’s about an hour long and I want to give access to you to that interview if you help me out. If you leave your comment below and answer this question, what is your number one biggest issue, or problem, or frustration for launching your own products and getting them out there into the real world?

I would love to hear from you. Please leave your comment. And for everyone that does that, I will give you free access to that interview that I had with Greg Jacobs.

Thank you so much for watching. I really look forward to your comments and also look forward to seeing you inside my next video. Talk to you soon.

Hi and welcome to this video. Inside this video I’d like to talk about how you can record, edit, export, and upload your video to YouTube and get it onto your website.

If you’ve been following the previous videos inside this series, you’ll know all the equipment you’ll need to be able to record your online video, and you’ll also know how to go through the proper presentation if you’re creating a sales video.

So inside this video I’m going to go into a little bit more detail and talk about:

How to record your video

How to edit your video

How to export it to the right format

How to get it onto YouTube

Aand then get it onto your website so that other people can watch your video

Let’s get into the first point…

How To Record Your Video

The first tip is to think about how to set up your camera. One thing that I always talk about is that it’s important to think about your background.

In this case I’m using a fairly simple and clear background, because I don’t want to distract people with a bunch of other things. It also allows me to put images or text up on this side to help prove my point or to support whatever I’m talking about.

Now it may be different for your situation, and you may want to have other things there, like nature scenes or whatever. It’s up to you, but think about your background. That’s the point I’m trying to make here. Make sure it’s appropriate for your video.

The other thing to think about in terms of set-up is your lighting. In this particular case I’m recording inside a studio and I’m actually using two lights. There’s a light over there and there’s another light over there, and they’re both at about 45 degree angles from where the camera is. The camera’s over there, of course, where you are. So in my case I’m using two lights to help me light up my face and to make sure that the video quality is good enough.

You may be recording during daytime or in a room where there’s lots of natural light, or you may not and need lights, or you may be recording outside, in which case you probably also don’t need any lights.

In any of these cases, just make sure that whatever you’re recording is getting enough light, because that can help you get the quality of your recording much, much better.

Another little tip for when you’re recording is to leave pauses right before you start talking and also right at the end. What this does is it helps you during the editing phase to easily fade in and fade out, or cuts when you’re moving clips around.

It just helps you in the editing phase to make sure that you don’t cut your voice off at the beginning or at the end, so leave pauses before you start talking and also at the end. Just keep looking at the camera, pause for a couple of seconds, and it just helps a lot during the editing phase – trust me.

Editing Your Recordings On Your Computer

If you’re using any of the cameras I recommended inside one of the previous videos, it’ll be pretty straightforward because all of them require a USB connection to your computer.

All you do is plug the camera into the USB port of your computer and transfer those files onto your computer. The next stage is to get those files into your editing program, and you simply open them up inside your editing program and then you’re ready to start editing.

For editing, here are a few little tips that will help your video come across a lot more professional. The first thing is the use of titles. This is not critical, but it can help you come across a little bit more professional, so look for the titles function inside the software that you’re using, the software that I recommended previously.

Just add one at the beginning of your video and throughout your video if you want to make certain points, and maybe at the end as well when you call people to action and you tell them where to go, to a certain website for example.

The other thing you can use is fade-ins and fade-outs. This is just a really nice easy way to make your video come across a little bit more professional. It’s very, very simple to add a little one- or two-second fade-in at the beginning and a fade-out at the end.

I often do this with my YouTube videos, where I’m a little bit lazy and I don’t want to do any fancy editing, and often that’s all I need to make my video look really, really good.

Another thing you can do is to add cuts inside your video to have those instant zoom-ins and zoom-outs. This can create the perception that you’re using more than one camera. It will also make your videos come across a lot more professional.

All you’ve got to do here is inside the track for your video, to make a cut you zoom in for however long you want to, you make another cut and zoom back out again. It’s really as simple as that. A lot of people often thought that I was using more than one camera, but it’s really just me zooming in and out during the editing phase.

Finally, if you want to add a little bit of extra pizzazz to your video, you can add a music track at the beginning and at the end. This is really easy to do. All you’ve got to do is add it and add a fade-out at the beginning, and at the end you add it again with a fade-in and louder music towards the end. Often using a bit of music can make your videos come across a little bit more professional as well.

Once again, it’s not essential. At the minimum all you really need is a fade-in and fade-out and that already will make your videos look a lot more professional.

Once you’ve edited your video, the next step is to…

Export Your Video To The Right Format

This is very, very important to export it to the right format. Otherwise, the quality of your videos won’t be all that good if you get it wrong.

It’s a little bit technical to show you on here, so I’ve created a special page that shows you all the different settings that I used for the different pieces of software, and you can get this for free. You don’t even have to opt in for it. I’ve created this special page at www.RapidVideoBlogging.com/exportsettings. There’s a page there with all the different settings for all the different software that I recommend.

Upload Your Video To YouTube

Once you’ve exported your video to the right format with the optimum settings, you’re ready to upload it to the internet. For this I recommend you use YouTube. If you haven’t got an account yet, just go here and create one. It’s 100% free and that will allow you to upload your exported video file to your YouTube account, which then will allow other people to watch your video.

The next thing is to…

Embed Your Video On Your Website Or Sales Page

So the final stage is to embed your YouTube video on your website or your sales page, depending on how you’re using it.

This is really straightforward. All you’ve got to do is go to the YouTube page for your video, and right below your video on YouTube look for the embed code. It can be a little button or maybe a link, depending on when you’re watching this video.

YouTube often changes the interface, but look for the embed code right below your video or on the same page where your video is. You can basically copy and paste that code into your website or your sales page.

There are just a couple settings you can use to optimize your embed code for your YouTube video. The first one I recommend you do is to uncheck the box that says ‘Related videos.’

This will remove the related videos at the end of your video once it’s finished playing, so that when people are finished watching your video they won’t click on it and go away, leaving your website or your sales page. This is pretty important. If you uncheck that box, all it will do is have a link there that says ‘Replay video.’ It’s very, very cool.

Of course the other setting you can change there is the size of your video. Think about your website and how big that is, and select the optimum size. Normally I try to select the biggest possible size, because you might as well go as big as you can. Of course make sure it still fits into the normal web browser and that it looks good for your website.

That’s really it. That’s all you need to know for creating your own online video and getting it onto your website. I hope you’ve enjoyed this short video series and that you’re able to use it. My recommendation is to really just get started.

At the beginning it might be a little bit tough to go through the process and you might think it’s difficult, but trust me, the second, third, and fourth time it’ll be a lot easier, and after awhile you’ll wonder why you ever thought it was difficult. It’s very, very straightforward.

If you’d like to find out how I make a six-figure income with online video, I’ve created a special free report that you can download at www.RapidVideoBlogging.com. Inside the report I talk about how I create massive amounts of traffic back to my site, how I build my email list, and how I monetize my online videos as well. Just go to www.RapidVideoBlogging.com to get access to my free report.

Thank you for watching and I’ll see you inside my next video.

Have you ever created something really “creative” and then afterward, when you look at it, you think… “That does not make any sense, but it felt good while I created it!”?

That’s what used to happen to me. I would create some pretty cool content, but when I would read or listen to or watch it again afterward, it often would not make sense.

And then I started experimenting with what I call “Structured Creativity”, and started getting some really amazing results. Some things I’ve been able accomplish with this method include:

Writing a 200+ page book in 21 days

Writing a 60+ report in a weekend

Writing 80+ report in about 2 weeks

A lot of people take a lifetime to write a new book. With my method, I believe it’s possible to write at least one new book every year… or even every 6 months!

Try it. Give it a go. And let me know what kind of results you get.

To your super fast content creation!

Hi there,

Gideon Shalwick here and welcome to my forest. This is the forest that I live in and I thought I’d do something different today. I’m recording inside the little rainforest and I’m going to tell you a few things about online marketing, video blogging and all that sort of stuff.

What I want to talk about today is something that I’ve discovered that is really valuable for creating amazing content. Whether it’s for your blog, a book you’re writing, a free report, or a product that you’re creating, this is something that I’ve stumbled upon that is really useful.

When you hear these two words you’ll think they are contradictory. It’s what I call structured creativity. When you think about these two words together they seem to contradict each other and it almost sounds like an oxymoron, but let me explain.

Structured creativity is a really good way of creating content for your blog, website, or your product (as I said before). What do I mean by this? What I mean is to create some kind of a structure and then within that structure you apply your creativity. That’s all it really is.

So the words seem to be clashing a bit because with structure people think there’s not much creativity and when you think about creativity that’s kind of divergent and you don’t want to have structure to that. When you apply structured creativity you can create some very, very good content very quickly.

Let me give you an example, that’s the easiest way to explain this. The way that I normally create a blog post is to first of all do a bit of research. I think about the topic that I want to talk or write about and then I get into brainstorming mode. The way I do brainstorming is I use a mind map. I create a mind map of the article, or the video, or the product that I want to create. I create this extensive mind map with all of the ideas that come to mind. Once I’ve done that I put it into some sort of a logical sequence, or a logical structure. There’s is no real content there. It is just the structure that I create. Then once I have that structure I rely on my creativity within each of those points to create content within that structure.

Now by the end of the process you end up with content that is both structured and creative. The structure part is really good for people absorbing your information and the creativity part is really good to keep people interested in what you are telling them. I use structured creativity all the time and it works really well.

That’s just a real quick tip from me for creating content really fast and really easily so that it is easily absorbed by your user and also comes across really cool.

Gideon: Welcome back. I’ve got Daniel Turner here with me, and next up we’re going to talk about product creation using online video in particular. It’s very powerful stuff.

In a previous video Daniel shared with us a really neat little tip for increasing your conversion rates when you’re selling your products online using online video.

In this one, Daniel will share with us a little bit more on how you can create online videos and how he goes about doing that. He’s got a number of very successful businesses based on online video.

How do you do it, man? Give us the rundown.

Daniel: This video came about because Gideon said it takes a considerable amount of time to put together the quality that he puts together, which I think is really good.

From my perspective, I focus on the quality of information and the speed of implementation, so if I hit a technical barrier it’s going to stop me from doing what I need to do. That’s just me personally.

What I do is this is my journal or my notepad where I take all my notes. We’re in internet marketing and I use pen and paper, go figure – super low-tech stuff here, guys.

Hopefully if you can see this, this bottom is a mind map. What I do is I’ll just sit down and come up with an idea for a product, an hour long or two hour long video or short course.

I take this mind map, and what I’ll do is I will then translate it into a Word doc. I’ll just put bullet points under each of the headings. I’ll then send that to my assistant, she’ll then put it into a nice sexy little PowerPoint presentation, and send me back the PowerPoint.

Then I’m in the archaic age of still using a PC, so I’ll use Camtasia to do my videos.

Gideon: That’s just a screen capture program, right?

Daniel: Correct, like ScreenFlow or whatever. For me, that process then has taken maybe 10-15 minutes, just that process. Then what I do is I’ll take that PowerPoint presentation, I’ll do a screen capture of the information as I’m going through it, and it might take anywhere between 60-120 minutes or two hours or whatever it is, depending on the length.

Depending on how much information there is, I may split it up over one or two or three modules, and that will obviously take the time it takes to do a video, so 60 minutes to two hours.

What I then do is I just go through the conversion process. I then upload that to one of our servers. I send that file to one of my assistants.

She then transcribes it, puts it into a PDF form, creates like a workbook out of it in terms of questions for the customer in terms of how to use it and consume it, etc., and I’ve got a front-end product. I’ve got a product, it’s ready to go, and it’s taken 2-1/2 hours of my time.

Gideon: I think the one keyword that really stood out to me in the discussion that Daniel and I had beforehand was using an assistant to create the slides and to transcribe it, because all that stuff takes time and it’s not creative time.

Daniel: It takes time, and I’m not exactly the most creative, beautiful – “Oh, that’s a nice color blue!” – that’s not me, so I give it to someone else to make it look sexy sort of stuff. That’s not what I’m good at. I’m a talker and I talk.

Gideon: You focus on what you’re good at and source everything else out. Just by the way, who do you use as your assistant? Is it someone local or do you source that out to someone else?

Daniel: It’s a combination of both. It depends on the activity. A lot of what I do now is heavily outsourced, meaning offshore, but there are a few people in-house that I use.

Gideon: Awesome. There’s some really good tips there. I think if you follow them you’ll be able to get stuff out really quick. I think that’s the name of the game.

Even just for getting free videos out on YouTube, if you watched my previous course on Killer YouTube Strategies, you’ll know that I talk about the more videos you can get out sooner, the better. I think this is a brilliant strategy for getting stuff out real quick.

Daniel: One thing I’ll say is this also serves a couple of functions. This will form the basis for a live webinar, so that’s point #1. Point #2 is it forms a basis for a front-end product. And point #3 is each of these sections that I’ve gone through in the mind map translate into like 5- or 10-minute snippets, which we then cut out and have individual sections put onto YouTube.

Gideon: Nice, so you’re using that as both a product, as well as lead generation.

Daniel: Lead gen on the front-end stuff. Again, for someone who’s looking for this information, if they’re looking on YouTube they’re looking for one sub-set of this.

I mean sure they can go get all the information and hunt through and find the videos, but I’m not going to give everything in YouTube. I just give a couple of different snippets, because at the end of the day YouTube is free traffic, so why not.

Gideon: Yeah, so it’s just a way of introducing them to the material. If they want to find out more, they can go to the sales page.

Daniel: Exactly. It’s just making sure you’re doing multiple things with one activity.

Gideon: Daniel Turner, once again some really good tips. Thank you so much. Really awesome talking to you.

Daniel: My pleasure.

Gideon: If you want to check out Daniel’s stuff, he’s got a whole bunch of websites. www.PLRPro.com is one of them. Any other sites people can check out?

Daniel: That’s good. I’m just happy to help out.

Gideon: Awesome. Thanks for watching, guys, and we’ll see you inside the next video.
