Hi There! And welcome to another video…
Inside this video I want to talk about something that is very, very close to my heart. Something that I’ve been struggling with for at least four years. And I say struggle in a light kind of way because I only struggled with it the first two and a half years of my career online. After that point, I figured it out and I didn’t struggle anymore. That’s what I want to share with you today.
The number one biggest problem that new business owners or all business owners have on the internet is to get highly qualified traffic to their sites.
This is one of the most tricky things to do because it’s one thing getting traffic to your site but it’s another thing getting really good, highly qualified, traffic to your site that will eventually convert into leads and convert into sales. If you don’t have that traffic you don’t have a business. It’s as simple as that, you don’t have a business online.
What I want to share with you today inside this video is one way that you can drive tons of traffic to your site. This is a way that I’ve been using for the last two years to help me get tons of traffic to my site, to help build my leads, and to eventually help turn those leads into buying customers. These are customers that spend money with me and help me run my business.
What am I talking about? The thing that I discovered… or let me backtrack a little bit.
My first ever project was selling an ebook online that was about four years ago. And once again my number one struggle there was not creating the product, not creating the marketing materials, it was getting traffic. Once I had all those things done. Just getting highly qualified traffic to my site. Initially I had a bit traffic but then it died down and it was really hard for me to get traffic.
So I did a lot of research, a lot of mucking around and eventually came to find out that online video, especially YouTube these days, is an amazing source of traffic. If you ignore it your leaving a lot of money on the table, a lot of customers, and a lot of traffic.
What I want to share with you is basically this, you need to get into YouTube. YouTube is the second biggest search engine on the internet right now. That’s huge! They are getting two billion views a day, that’s last time I looked maybe it’s even more by now. The point is that they are huge and if you’re not using them as a traffic generation strategy you’re losing out.
I’ve been using YouTube now for the last two years and also online video in general to help me drive heaps of traffic back to my site. This is one of the best ways to drive traffic to your site because not only do you get the traffic and they’re highly qualified, but when people watch your videos and they come to your site, they already kind of know you. Just like you’re watching this video right now, you’re thinking, “I kind of know Gideon”, “I’ve seen what he’s like”, “I know what his personality is like”, “I know he does funny things with his hands”, “I know he’s got a bit of a receding hairline”, or whatever. You can actually see me and that builds rapport and that’s what’s so powerful about video.
I’m about to release a free report. It’s called Rapid Video Blogging: The New And Easy Way Of Using YouTube To Dominate Your Niche. Inside this report I reveal exactly what I do to help me gain traffic to my site. I also explain how I make a six figure income from what I do with online video inside this report.
I’ll be releasing this report very, very soon. In fact at the time of this recording I haven’t released it yet. I’m planning to release it on August 3rd which is a Tuesday and for me it’s next week.
So keep your eyese peeled. If you’re not signed up to my newsletter yet make sure you sign up because that’s where I reveal how I use YouTube to drive all this traffic to my site and how to monetize that traffic eventually.
Some very cool stuff coming up, it’s a 90 page report.
Seriously I’ve never given anything like this away for free ever. This is my most valuable free resource that I’m ever giving away, that I’ve given away up to this point of my life. I think it’s my best work and I really want you to have it and I want to share it with you because I think it’s extremely powerful.
So keep watching, make sure you’re signed up to my newsletter and watch your inbox for an email that will tell you when the report is ready.
Thank you for watching and I look forward to seeing you inside my next videos.

[..YouTube..] Oh hey good stuff! Yes, your info is right on!
[..YouTube..] @RCSuperPowers Oh very nice!
Hi Gideon,
I`ve been watching your videos for some months now & I think you really come over so well on the small screen!! I have put some videos on my blog but I feel so self-conscious about it that I feel that I must come over as a complete ****** !
I know that you highly recommend video but don`t you also feel that you have to be realistic & accept the fact that some people come over far better than others ?
Nick
Hey Nick
I have just watched your video on your blog, and I dont think you have anything to worry about.
Most people feel funny when they watch themselves back on video. And I think it’s because of two main reasons:
1. People are not used to seeing the real image of themselves – they are used to seeing a mirror image of themselves inside the mirror every day.
2. People are not used to hearing their own voice when it gets played back to them – people are used to hearing their own voice coming right from inside their heads. So you own voice sounds different to yourself than it sounds to everyone else. So, when you hear a recording of it, it sounds “different” to you.
Now, because of these two things, I believe that the sub-conscious finds it hard to deal with at first.
But as you watch yourself and listen to yourself more and more, the more used to it you become, and after a while it all just seems very normal… and even fun!
So, my suggestion is to just keep on practicing, and keep on watching yourself and learning from the experience each time. It DOES get better – trust me
Gideon
[..YouTube..] @TheCuso Hey! Thats my line!

Another great video Gideon, can’t wait to get my hands on the report!
I’ve followed your work for some time Gideon and took some of your paid seminars. I look forward to reading your report and seeing what else I can learn from you. My blog and websites are already doing better thanks to some of your advice.
Awesome to hear Dee!

Hi Gideon!
The one thing I really like about you is you’re so passionate about your subject! I’m sticking around for this report next week – can’t wait for it…! I’ve bought my FlipMinoHD and about to get started with my first video err and cycling along sort of.:-)…I can’t wait to get into this.
BikingBec
Hey Rebecca
Congrats on getting your little Flip camera – you are going to LOVE it!
And with my report coming out next week, you’ll be able to put your little camera to great use! That’s for sure!
Lots of exciting things coming up over the next couple of weeks
Gideon
Hi Gideon,
I used to do TouTube marketing 2 years ago and then let it slide – recently went and had a look at my old account and saw that one video has had over 280,000 views! You can be sure I’ve optimized that one with a clickable link and an ‘annotation’
Hey Clive
I’ve had similar experiences – so glad you went back and optimized your video with an annotation.
I hope you also added a link to your site in the description area? That can help greatly with extra traffic to your site.
Gideon
what do you think of using tubemogul or traffic geyser to submit videos to many other video sharing sites? is that considered spamming, or is it a legitimate way to get your videos out there?
I don’t use any of those two services. They just seem a bit too spammy to me.
I think they can be useful especially if you create great quality videos.
But a lot of people are just using those services to spam their sales and marketing videos. And that does not help anyone in my view.
The bottomline is that you need to test it. If it works for you, and helps you get more real views and real subscribers, then I say go for it. But you can only find this out through testing it.
Gideon
With youtube being the second largest search engine for inquiries, your work is definitely appreciated.
I’m desperate for the new report, watched all your videos and I suspect I’ll be one of the first in the queue with the credit card when you launch your next product, in short, I get it.
One thing concerns me though.
I can see how you create massive levels of traffic for topics like internet marketing and online video because by their very nature you’re pitching to the communities who practically live on these sites but I’m less convinced of the traffic levels that are attainable for corporate type niches.
For example, I run the world’s most popular internet site covering data quality (very niche!) but I just can’t envisage massive volumes of our mostly corporate community hanging out on YouTube.
I have all the video production facilities set up and countless content ideas to get going but I still have a nagging doubt if this will work for my niche. With so many pulls on my time it’s still a big gamble.
Is there a simple approach to evaluate whether your niche will work on YouTube?
Hey Dylan
If they’re not on YouTube yet, chances are that they will be very soon in the near future.
For example, if they are already to be found on Google, but not on YouTube, it’s just a matter of time until they get on YouTube as well.
That’s my take on it.
In saying that though, some topics do lend itself better to video than others. But if you’re creative about it, I think you should be able to figure out how to garner to masses of traffic currently at YouTube, even with your niche.
Regards
Gideon
Hey! Gideon
I am on your path to get traffic from youtube. But i feel really ******, because th 1st vedio i uploaded is not doing great and in unable to attact veiwers on youtube. I can’t understand why.
I uploaded the vedio on “how to remove your blogger’s navbar” on my blog, But do not get comments on my blog, even on youtube.
I am worried. Does this really works. What my vedio is missing?
There are a number of things you can do to help increase your views.
And I’ll be revealing some of them inside my upcoming report
Gideon
Hi Gideon!
It’s been a long time since i’ve been watching your videos and learning a lot from video blogging.
I have my own blog since november 2009 but it hasn’t been until june 2010 that i really put all of my efforts into my blog, and now i’m seeing results like good traffic and feedback.
Now thanks to you, soon i’ll be uploading videos to youtube to show them in my blog to really show my users all of my knowledge.
And also, i follow your recommendation of buying a video camera, right now i have the kodak zi8 and it’s awesome.
I’ll be waiting your report to keep learning about video blogging. And by the way, my blog is in spanish… because i live in Chile, South-America. So know that you’re helping out somebody pretty far from your location!
Greetings.
The Kodak Zi8 is a great little camera – good on ya for taking action! That’s the best way to get results
Gideon
Hi Gideon,
I participated on the Lexi Rodrigo webinar yesterday and thought the info you provided there was great. I currently use some video on my website but am wanting to do even more and at a higher quality. I’m really looking forward to the release of Rapid Video Blogging!
Thanks so much for providing the info and for making it free. It’s much appreciated.
Sharon
This has galvanized me into action. I will set up my video camera (which has been languishing in its box) and start practising talking into it. Then I’ll work out how to use Audacity so I can edit it. Who knows, I might even post my first video on YouTube. Thanks Gideon.
Gideon Shalwick, you’re da bomb! This is just what I need to get me started on my video career
Thank you!
Gideon,
I’ve been a fan of you (and Yaro) for a while now. I’m looking forward to your report!
Thanks for the video.
Awesome Gideon,
Can’t wait to get my hungry hands on that report – I have started doing Youtube videos recently, but I have never used as a traffic booster to my online presence.
I love the you build your brand&business on Youtube.
PS: I’m already in your list (that’s how I got to your video), is that enough, or is it a new list you have there ?
If you’ve already subscribed on this site, then you should get an automatic copy of the report once it’s ready.
If you have not received anything by the end of Wed next week, you may need to re-sign up.
Gideon
You always over deliver with your content. I am eagerly awaiting the report.
Bring It On!!! LOL
Dave
Hey people with receding hairlines are geniuses Gid LOL
And the balder we become we turn into masterminds
Hehehe!
My dad used to say that hair does not grow on brains. He is totally bald lol!
Gideon
Cheers Gideon
Looking forward to reading the report because (totally my mistake) one of my sites has been receiving totally rubbish visits since it was created a year ago and becuase I didn’t set up Google Analytics to find out what traffic it was getting I was shocked to discover how low the visitor numbers were when I finally got that organised. So it needs a boost – big time!
Thanks again
My report should help a lot with helping you Wendy!
Very soon now…
Gideon
Hey Gideon,
Love your work – very much looking forward to your latest report. Are you planning to release an mp3 version of the report like you have in the past for Roadmap to Become a Blogger?
Thanks
Kieran
Ah now there is a nice idea!
Not sure why I have not really considered that. Maybe it’s because it’s like 92 pages long! lol!
If I get time, I will turn it into an mp3 as well.
Thanks for the reminder!
Gideon
This is all new to me and it sems I have a lot of catching up to do. Really interesting. Thanks Gideon.
Gideon,
I’m stoked about next Tuesday. You come across as very genuine. The video post of your report was the first time for me to see your work. It grabbed me right away. So much so that when the report was not available right away I felt a sense of loss. I waited with immense anticipation for the next communication, you hooked me. I’ve been studying marketing on and off line for many years now but what your video did was attach me to you. As you said in this video I feel a connection to you. Can’t wait to get the report and start making my presence on You Tube.
Thanks,
Barry
Ps I think it’s powerful the all white background in this video, reminds me of a scene in the movie “Bruce Almighty” with Jim Carey and Morgan Freeman
Hey Barry
Thanks!
I also can’t wait to see a video of you so that I can “get to know you” too!
Talk soon!
Gideon
Hi Gideon
.
Yes I exist
Excellent video! You are a natural. My partner has used video in the past to promote his ebooks. We are now getting into short ‘tips’ videos which are also proving successful. When I say we, my partner makes all the videos, I supply the coffee and encouragement
Looking forward to your report.
Pam
Hey Gideon,
I listened to you when you said that video increases traffic and I found out from Joel Williams how to put a video from YouTube on my blog and my traffic increased after it was slowing down there for awhile in the beginning of this year.
I thank you for your advice.
Cheers,
Rick
Hey Gideon,
Just wanted to drop by and say hi and thanks for the quality information and products you create.
Youtube is a huge part of my online business (online singing lessons) and I am approaching my first year anniversary since I launched my business (using Become a Blogger Premium).
I have followed your’s and Yaro’s advice regarding generating traffic, enticing subscribers with a very high quality valuable free product (an 8 week video course all filmed with green screen, proper lighting, mics ect) and commenting on other blogs and forums. I also have 30 videos up on youtube and am focusing on article marketing as taught by Adam Short at the moment.
My results so far?????
87,000 views for my youtube videos (average 400 per day)
626 youtube subscribers and growing
856 email subscribers to my newsletter (averaging 30 per week atm)
Top 20 google page rankings for most of my keywords
10% conversion rate traffic – subscribers
I am just about to lauch a paid membership site which will be offered to subscribers at the conclusion of the 8 week course which I am confident will sell very well.
I’d say the majority of my traffic/subscribers is coming from youtube at the moment and I’m still only a small fish in the niche.
I really owe a lot to you and Yaro so thank you.
Ian
P.s I’m an Aussie too
Wow Ian!
You are kicking it! Well done!
I am SO glad to hear that you are doing so well.
And yes, YouTube has been really good to me too.
With our magic channel, we now have nearly 3 million views, and we’re getting over 100 email leads a day now.
It really is one of the best, if not THE best ways to get tons of traffic and subscribers.
Congratulations and well done again!
Gideon Shalwick
Hi Gideon
My case is kind of different, I have more viewers in youtube than in my blog.
I started with youtube one year ago, and some of my videos are sharing revenue when I had six month you youtube, but my blog has 2 months but I can’t see much traffic to my blog. But I can’t deny that I don’t know much how to play with SEO. I am a very very very newbie
Anyway, thanks so much for all your tips I watch all of your videos and I know I will learn trick to use it for my blog RIGH HERE!!!!
Cheers!!
Judy ;D
Oh wow Judy!
You are SUPER talented!
I can see you teaching this stuff inside a course and selling it for good money! That’s for sure!
And YouTube would be an excellent medium for helping you build your business – especially with the kind of traffic you are already getting.
I think you are going to LOVE my report, because I provide the kind of tips that will help you drive insane amounts of traffic back to your site, and help you monetize it all!
Great work, keep it up!
Gideon
Good stuff as always… the game is ON!
Thanks for the tip, Gideon. I’ll look for the report. BTW: I exist. I comment and therefore I am!
Lol! Good one!
Gideon
[..YouTube..] Hey Gideon,
I liked the idea of having the transcript appearing below your video. How did you do that? It made a lot more sense to follow through!
Yes, traffic is one crucial thing to be considered when it comes to marketing your business online and even offline, without people coming through your retail business for example, there’s something missing in it and probably it’s the marketing efforts like adding Web 2.0 and giving away free stuffs.
Tyrone
[..YouTube..] @tyroneshum Hey Tyrone
I reveal this strategy inside my course
It’s a bit of a ninja trick that not many people know about.
Grab me on Skype and I’ll show you how…
Gideon Shalwick
Excellent insights on your website and in your videos! If you’re interested in seeing another take on making better online videos, please check out my blog. Though I’ve been in TV and video for eons, I just started the blog a couple of months ago. It’s called Seeing Your Story, and you’ll find it–no surprise–at http://www.seeingyourstory.com. I’d be very interested in your POV on some of the posts. Thanks!
Just checked out your site Ron – great stuff!
Thanks for the extra useful resource!
Gideon
Glad you liked it. Let’s stay in touch. You can always reach me at ronblau@gmail.com
Hi Gideon. I have gobbled up stacks of your fabulous content and am eagerly awaiting the latest gem next week. We’ve had a few aborted attempts to make decent video for my site and youtube – simply a bumpy learning curve – old SD equipment and frustrating editing software that froze at critical moments hasn’t helped. But we’re learning and have got new gear. The overlay audio is our latest challenge so I am keen to know what brand mic you recommend and use. I got an external behringer mic to plug into my computer but am not too pleased with a low background rumble that lingers. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. Any tips, or maybe they’ll be in your Report next week?
Thank you for your content. Sharing knowledge and experience like you do reflects the confident generosity you exude in your clips.
regards
Trudy
Hey Trudy
Thanks!
Yes, my report should help you alot!
And there is also a lot more cool stuff coming up over the next couple of weeks…
So… watch this space!
Gideon
Great content. Its true if you don’t have traffic you don’t have business.
Here is what I do with my youtube videos…I also get traffic

Finally! What I’ve been searching for!
Thanks so much for this video Gideon.
But, if you see my comment on your About Page, which is why I can’t do this.

Gideon, I’d be willing to pay you to do a one-on-one tutorial on screenflow. I’m a new user and can’t find specific answers to my specific questions. Could wrap it up in about 1.5 hours if you’re willing. Otherwise, do you have any tutorials on screenflow?
Matt
Hey Matt
Can’t do one-on-one tutorials at the moment – got over 40k subscribers.
I do teach how to use ScreenFlow in my upcoming course though.
