I am still to get the book ‘The One thing’ and it reminds of the search for
disruptive technologies or strategies in business but now applying it to
our own lives. Now you have me thinking – thanks once again for the intro
    to this topic

Thanks Gideon! The most important question you can ask yourself is…Who am

Gideon, I’m so pleased you’re reading and enjoying The One Thing. I have
been with Keller Williams Realty for 11 years now and have had the pleasure
of seeing Gary Keller every year in person. He and his team have built the
largest real estate company in North America by asking that one question
over and over again: What’s the One Thing we could do, such that by doing
it, it would make everything easier and some things unnecessary? This
question when asked repeatedly after each answer will bring you laser focus
on what is THE most important thing and help you say no to everything else.
Congrats and thanks for passing on the message!

Hope you didnt catch jaundice, did you?
    😉 just kidding.

I’ve also heard it said that if you have a good why, you can put up with
any old how. It’s a hard lesson, but I’m learning it: before you focus on
the method of getting something done, have a good grasp of the reason
    you’re doing it.

Gideon thanks for sharing and this is a great book. The main learning I got
from this book is a quote I developed and use everyday and that is “The
Main Thing is to Identify what my main thing is and then to keep the main
    thing, the main thing!”

Good video. Focus brings clarity, energy and productivity. That’s why it’s
so important. I didn’t read the book but my approach to the “One Thing” is
“One thing at a time” meaning that paradoxically there are different
resolution levels to your one thing and your one thing will evolve with
time. The main idea here is that behind your “one thing” there is “one
person”. Who is that person that I am calling “I”? Searching your one thing
reveals, to yourself and others, this person that you are and want to be.
So the “one thing” is an attempt to focus on your very core, which is a
deep and challenging thing, but also very rewarding when you somehow seize
part of it and come to some achievements. It’s never ending because the
“one” is not static but expanding. You can’t catch all of it at once so the
best thing to do is to get started at least with “one thing” that you think
is the most important at that moment of your life. I would call it “Dynamic

Hi Gideon, Thanks again for another great video with a great message.
It’s really hard to focus the brain. It really loves wandering. It
reminds me of the quote by Tony Robbins, “One reason so few of us achieve
what we truly want is that we never direct our focus; we never concentrate
our power. Most people dabble their way through life, never deciding to
master anything in particular.” All the best, David

Hi Gideon, I purchased the book for my iPad via the Kindle store. About
1/5th through it so far. I certainly offers up some unique ideas. I always
believed that the multitasking approach and being good at alot of things
was the way to go. But in this book, they stray away from that concept.
This video above does address a greay question which I too will need to
think about. Inclosing, what I like about a book like this is it encourages
us to use different approaches than the traditional. And that might be the
    secret answer! Cheers

I have the book and am 50% complete. The question is great but the response
has to be a habit. You can not depend on your will power to ask and then
execute a fresh plan daily. A wise mentor told me I could do anything I
wanted but not everything I wanted. Focus and regular daily effort on the
area of focus are required. Your area of focus has to be incorporated into
your habit of showing up and doing the work – the one thing – today.

  15. Ernest Smith

This is what my partner and have been attempting to accomplish. this is
something that I will definitely share with her and incorporate into our
daily routine. Thanks for the share.

  18. I enjoyed watching your video. I will be buying the book soon. That one question can lead to a systematized business. When you read the book, what did you decide would be The One Thing for you?
