Inside this video, I reveal four options for creating videos online quickly, easily and hassle-free. You can choose which method to use, depending on your situation, your budget and the kind of videos you want.
Can you think of other easy and inexpensive options for web video production? Please share your ideas by leaving your comments below.
Hi!
Are you thinking about web video production, but you’re thinking it’s too hard, too expensive and it takes too long? Well, I’ve got some really cool options for you that’s going to really make your day!
- – -
Welcome! My name is Gideon Shalwick. Inside this video, I’m going to show you four ways that you can create videos online to really make your life a lot easier.
By the end of this video, you’ll have a really good idea of all the different methods you can use for creating your own videos and you’ll realize that it’s actually quite straightforward. And it doesn’t have to be very expensive to do it at all.
Option 1: Do It Yourself
The first method that I want to share with you is the DIY method (Do It Yourself). This is how I’ve started doing it and this is how many other people online do it as well.
Basically, what you need is a little camera that’s optimized for the internet. One that I recommend is the Kodak Zi8. The camera that I record with right now is Canon 60D. But there’s a bunch of other video cameras you can record with as well.
Look for cameras that can record in .mov or .mp4 format and watch for an external microphone jack. You should be getting a pretty good camera for that purpose.
Now, if you want to do the editing for that as well. A great PC software that I recommend for that is Sony Vegas Studio HD; great piece of software. And if you own a Mac, a really great piece of software that I recommend for that is Screenflow. It does both screen capture and videos like this.
That’s the do-it-yourself method; but of course if you don’t want to learn it all yourself, it may be not a great option for you.
Option 2: Hire A Pro
The next option is to hire a professional. Now, this is what a lot of more successful companies do, companies with more deep pockets, companies who can afford a professional video production crew.
For this, you’ll need someone local where you live or run your business. You’ll need to find someone in your local area that can come and record the videos for you, do the editing and interface with you to get the final product.
Of course, it’s going to be a lot more expensive but hey, if you’ve got the money, then it can be very fast and a great option for you to get those great results.
Option 3: Hire A Film Student
But if you’re on a budget and you still want to have a semi professional result. The third option is to hire a film student. What you do is you go around to film schools and those kinds of places where there are film students. And you advertise for a position in your company or for some casual work in your company to do some online or web video production for them.
Doing it this way, you can get away with much more affordable rates and you get someone who knows the game when it comes to web video production. And they’ll be able to get the work done for you at fairly affordable rates.
Of course, the trade off with this system or this method is that the video result may not be as great as you would expect. That’s the third option.
Option 4: Outsource It
The fourth option, which is a good one too, is to outsource your video production to other countries. This can be very affordable but it comes with its own challenges. Basically, this is where you find a video editor in another country like the Philippines, Thailand, Ukraine or many other different countries, or India for example.
You can get some really good results here. One of the main challenges with this is that the file sizes that you have to deal with are crazy. So if you are recording your own videos like this, or someone comes into your business to do the video recording, it can be difficult to get those files over to these other countries.
One way is just to simply send it overseas on an SD card or a DVD. Another way is to upload it to a server, but of course that can kill your internet broadband and also the person whose going to do the editing for you.
Summary:
So those are four options. Either you do it yourself. It’s got a bit of a learning curve and it can take you well. Can be a little frustrating but can be very affordable. Second option is a professional one. Much more expensive but you can get stuff done a lot quicker and get a really professional result.
The next option from that is getting film students which they can still get you pretty professional results but much more affordable. And the fourth option – with outsourcing, it’s very affordable; you can get really good results. But it comes with its own challenges.
So, that’s the web video production side of it. Of course, there’s more to web video production than just that. If you’re getting into video, you might want to think about promoting your business using online video as well.
For that, what I recommend you do is download my free Rapid Video Blogging Report where I show you how I use video to help promote my business, how to get a ton of leads into my business every single day. I’m sure you’re going to love it. It’s 92 pages, packed full of really powerful information.

It also comes with seven extra video lessons, part of a Mini Course that shows you how I use video to promote my business and you can do it too.

[..YouTube..] You deserve alot more subs and views! really good stuff!
[..YouTube..] Great video!
[..YouTube..] OK Gideon, so you now have to let us know which method you used to produce this “dazzling” video with all the flashy animation.
Great 5 minute production, Jeff
[..YouTube..] Came over from James Schramko’s podcast with you – cool all round. Thanks
[..YouTube..] Professional video production does not have to be expensive. Most pros (myself included) will work within a budget.
[..YouTube..] Great content and video thanks Gideon (liked too)
[..YouTube..] @jbnhfl I been a GS subscriber for a good year or so now. I recall GS made a vid before on how to make the nice white back drop. As for software, GS uses Screenflow. He made a vid of this a long time ago. Good luck
[..YouTube..] What kind of mic is that sir?
[..YouTube..] Hey Gideon, I like how you mentioned about outsourcing at the end in comparison to hiring a local student to edit your videos. I think if you pay a little more for monthly bandwidth with a full time video editor in the Philippines you are still ahead. E.g say you pay $300 per month for a video editor + $50 for Internet, it would still be only $350 per month. A student for at least part time per month would be around $1,000. Outsourcing is still the way to go in my opinion.
[..YouTube..] Gideon’s video editor uses Adobe After Effects. It’s an awesome software. My video editor uses something similar – Adobe Premier Pro, which has a few extra options. Both are there for creating those special effects.
You forgot about online video editors like WeVideo, you store your videos on their servers and you can produce the video with the online editor which has loads of cool transitions and effects and things.
When you said, if your on windows use.. Then you said, if your on mac use.. Then I was waiting for.. If your on Linux.. but you didn’t say anything about Linux which is pretty ignorant considering the millions of Linux users out there now.
Gideon, Thanks for the tips…I love the ideas you presented here and thanks for the FREE ebook…Dude you are awesome!!!
[..YouTube..] You forget the mic! What mic are you using?
[..YouTube..] Can u please post the turtorial of “how to make video like this”?
Man, green screen PERFECTION.
If that is a green screen…. -___-
Epic tips, I’m so using this to edit my vids. Thanks so much;) say hi sometimes on my blog;)
Great video Gideon! Do you have a video on how to edit in the great graphic animations and text you have on your whitescreen chroma-key?
Gideon… one of the methods you mentioned was to outsource to another country and the downside that you listed was that it was hard to transfer the large video file sizes however it is been my experience that with products like drop box and send it that this challenge has been overcome. Let me know your thoughts
Tell you once i read it!
It’s actually just a white screen. Green screen is for the weather man on the telly…
[..YouTube..] @GideonShalwick Haha yeah (: I realized that after I saw your white screen video

Hi Gideon! What software do you use to create the cool animations of titles and images beside you on the video? Any tutorial on that? Thanks!
[..YouTube..] @alekei Hey not sure exactly what software he uses but we use Adobe After Effects for all of our motion graphics. You might want to do a quick google search of video copilot. He offers a free basic training course on it.

Animations can be intimidating at first but you might want to check out creativecow . net as a great resource for motion graphics and basic animation. You will need specific software to achieve different goals. Some recommended ones are Adobe After Effects and Apples Motion. Hope that helps.
I am confused about Screenflow. Would this replace iMovie and are you doing all those fancy graphics using Screenflow or are you producing them in some other program and importing them? Very curious.

Guys, make money online doesn’t need to be hard (I used to feel it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Look for a tutorial called Monezilax System (google it). Seriously, I have earned crazy amounts of money with it. I probably shouldn’t even be mentioning it because I do not want a bunch of other guys out there running the same “game” but whatever, I am in a good mood today so I’ll share the wealth haha.
Hey
All I can bring myself to say is what an awesome video!
Really enjoyed watching the excellent content
Will be back again soon for more
Mark
Many thanks
Sweet. I’m trying to learn everything I can about After Effects!
Thumbs up for recording on a DSLR. I’m on the Canon Rebel T3i myself.
Hi Gideon,
I love watching you’re video’s, I now realise that video is definitely the way forward in getting new people on my list and growing my business!
I run my own life insurance business (just me at present) in the UK and I’m trying to put together a set of 15-20 FAQ video’s to post on my blog but I’m struggling with a few things;
1. I’ve recorded about ten video’s so far but I need an editor to ‘take out’ the mistakes etc – can you recommend anyone or do you do all your own editing?
2. I keep forgetting what I’m saying and it sometimes takes about twenty takes (no joke!) before I get the video to a level I’m happy with. It takes me nearly all day sometimes just to record 1 or 2 video’s!!
Also how do you get your video’s to look soooo seamless:
a) use a tele-prompter?
b) record a series of very short clips an edit them together to make the final video?
c) you’re just so good you do it all in one take? Lol
Great work and look forward to hearing more from you!
Sion John
hey how do u get the words like that in your video
Hey Gideon, you have amazing talent and I’m hooked on the value of all the free content you offer. I’m always picking up heaps of tips. May I ask what lapel mic you use? Yours sounds so deep compared to most I’ve heard. I’m sure you have mentioned it in one of your vids before and I can’t seem to find it today. Thanks mate. George.
